Apply to a Sociology Program
Undergraduate Program
Over a four-year academic degree, students will complete 12 required core credits, 18 flexible core credit, 12 college option credits, and 34 major credits, along with 44 elective credits to complete an undergraduate Bachelors degree, majoring in Sociology.
Qualifications
High school students in their last year of study and applicants who would like to earn a Bachelors of Art in Sociology can apply through the general CUNY application. Applications are processed online and scholarships are available.
How to Apply
Scholarships are available. Applications are submitted online through the City University of New York’s online application system.
Undergraduate Minor
Students who wish to select a minor in Sociology can take selected courses for the program.
Qualifications
This program is open to Queens College undergraduate students.
How to Apply
Contact the Sociology Department (718-997-2800) to arrange a meeting at the department office in Powdermaker Hall 252. There, you will be asked to submit a minor declaration form and to meet with Prof. Joyce Tang at joyce.tang@qc.cuny.edu. An unofficial copy of this form can be downloaded here.
