Join the QC Workshop’s meeting with Professor Dana Weinberg and Major Jessica Dawson for a theory- and research-based discussion on how fringe narratives are gaining traction and mainstream recognition, how they are being used to radicalize individuals and mobilize collective action, and what the implications are for US national security.

Dana Weinberg is Professor of Sociology at Queens College-CUNY. Her current work focuses on digital disruption and the impact on work and social lives, Russian influence operations, and the weaponization of narrative for influence and radicalization. She is the author of Code Green: Money-Driven Hospitals and the Dismantling of Nursing.

Jessica Dawson is a sociologist who focuses on extremism, morality, narratives and social change that comes from the digital disruption of social processes. She is an active duty Army officer and the lead research scientist at the Army Cyber Institute Information Warfare Team and holds a Ph.D. from Duke Sociology.
